Looks like the body is a copy of the now-discontinued Shimano 105 PD-5700 pedal. Wonder why they went with magnesium over aluminum?
Hmmmmmmmmm. The discontinuation of the aluminum bodied 105 pedals left a big hole in their line-up. The R540 is ok but requires plastic contact plate replacement pretty much every 6-8 months (about 5-6,000 miles). The new composite 105 pedals are hard to find and appear to be significantly more expensive. Maybe the unknown pedals would be a good alternative? I wonder how magnesium holds up.
The Unknown web-store also features what appears to be a copy/rebrand of a discontinued version of the Specialized Romin saddle.
